Windsurfing: Bradfield Wind Direction: ENE Wind Stength: 8kts Surf / Sea State: flat Air Temperature: warm Sea Temperature: warm Weather: Cloud / Rain Max Speed: 7kts (knots - unless stated otherwise) Distance Covered: 1.5nm (Nautical Miles - unless stated otherwise)
Wind didn't turn up today at Bradfield, with tide at 5 ish, the rain / mist
killed the wind. 1 out on fin, not going and it started to drizzle, I
should have gone home. After checking forecasts again theoretically, sun
and wind should be about 6pm but again rain came. I rigged just to keep
James company, and Howard turned up, so stayed rigging 8.5 and a large
front wing on my Slingshot foil.
I never got a sniff after 2 long runs, so called it a day when Paul D
turned up to collect his foil (Which didn't turn up). As he is lighter than
me, he took my gear out, but the rain increased. The wind did freshen a
little to prob 10kts and he did get some small flights but again it
died.
Chasing 10kts of wind is ridiculous so wont waste my time again, as life is
way too short. Now Covid is over am selling my carbon road bike, which I
could have cleaned.
